Preserving the Past. Projecting the Future.
35 Years Strong.
Support 35mm film programming at St. Louis’ only nonprofit theater
Last year, you showed up to support our commitment to 35mm film. Thanks to your generous support, Cinema St. Louis expanded our 35mm programming at the Hi-Pointe Theatre in 2025. The response from our audiences has been extraordinary. Now we want to go even further.
This Give STL Day, we’re returning with the same focus on 35mm but with even more on the line. Cinema St. Louis turns 35 in 2026, and there’s no better way to mark that milestone than by screening more films on 35mm than ever before. The sprockets of 35mm film are now literally woven into our new logo. Thirty-five years in, this format isn’t just part of our programming; it’s part of our identity.
See Titanic on 35mm for Free
To celebrate Give STL Day on Thursday, May 7, we’re hosting a free screening of Titanic on 35mm at the Hi-Pointe. Come see one of cinema’s greatest spectacles the way it was meant to be seen, on us.

Most theaters can no longer screen on 35mm. The projectors are rare, the expertise rarer, and sourcing prints takes relationships and resources that most venues simply don’t have. The Hi-Pointe does, and every month, we put that to use.
Your support funds our most ambitious 35mm series yet: sourcing more prints, maintaining our projectors, and bringing more of cinema’s most beloved films to the screen the way they were meant to be seen.
Help us celebrate 35 years by supporting our commitment to 35mm!
And coming soon, our new 35 Club, with discounted tickets to 35mm screenings, free tickets, and behind-the-scenes tours of the projection booth. Stay tuned for more information during Give StL Day!
