Concrete Cinema at CAM
We are excited to introduce Concrete Cinema, a new series exploring the connections between cinema and performance, projected in CAM's Courtyard. Free and open to the public. Cash bar. All programs include Q&A sessions with the artists. Thursdays, May 24 / June 14 / July 7 / August 9
Over four evenings, we present both films by St. Louis natives - Jim Finn's hilarious portrait of an artist in North Korea, and Ryan Eslinger's smash debut feature about an aging college professor (which he began writing at the age of 13) - as well as performances by St. Louisans - from a screening of Ernst Lubitsch's early silent comedy The Wildcat with live musical accompaniment by local musicians the Rats andPeople Motion Picture Orchestra to artist Andrew Lampert's signature witty "projector performances", featuring the debut of a new work about "the future of Homo sapiens".
